O'FALLON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team completed the series sweep of Greenville University Tuesday afternoon, March 2, with an 11-0 run-rule victory at Family Sports Park in O'Fallon, Ill. Moving to 3-0 on the season, the Titans are off to their best start since winning four straight to start the 2018 season.

Burgh finished the day 2-for-3 with three runs scored and a pair of walks. Freshman Jacob Cyrus (Glen Ellyn, Ill.-Glenbard South) went 1-for-2 at the plate with a solo home run.
On the mound, the Titans used a by-committee approach. Junior Evan Hill (Gurnee, Ill.-Warren Township) earned the start and tossed the first three innings, allowing one hit and strike out two. IWU took control from the onset as Elvers' RBI single put the Green and White up 1-0 in the first.
The Titans added three runs in each of the next two frames. In the second, a pair of errors made way for three runs to put the score at 4-0, IWU.Â
Cyrus' solo shot to left opened the scoring in the third and was followed by a two-run double by DiLello.Â
Illinois Wesleyan expanded its seven-run lead to 11-0 in the seventh. After a leadoff walk, freshman
Will Kafer (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal West) singled and DiLello walked to load the bases for junior
Cole Greer (Springfield, Ill.-Pleasant Plains). A sacrifice fly by Greer pushed the Titan lead to eight. A hit by pitch, along with a pair of walks, and a RBI single by freshman
