BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Coming off its third straight win, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team looks to continue its winning streak when the Titans travel to Millikin University, Tuesday, Feb. 16. Tipoff between the third-ranked Titans and Big Blue is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Illinois Wesleyan (3-0) is fresh off of an 81-56 thumping of North Park on Friday night, Feb. 12 . Millikin enters the matchup 1-6 on the season. The Big Blue are coming off their first win of the year a 59-45 triumph over North Central, Feb. 13.

HISTORY = MADE: With the Titan's win against North Park Friday, Feb. 12, head coach Ron Rose passed the legendary Jack Horenberger on the all-time wins list. Rose is now second on the list with a 265-129 record over his 14 year career as head men's basketball coach. IWU legend Dennie Bridges sits atop the list with a career record of 667-319 during his 36 years at the helm.

BATTLING THE BIG BLUE: The Titans hold a commanding 154-78 lead in the all-time series with the Big Blue, a rivalry that dates back over 100 years. Illinois Wesleyan has won the past eight contests and has only one regular season loss to Millikin in the past decade.
Last season, IWU swept the season series against Millikin. In the first matchup at the Shirk Center, the Titans were victorious 80-71. Then freshman Luke Yoder scored a team-high 18 points and Charlie Bair had a near double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds.
The second meeting came down to the wire in a 76-74 IWU victory. A balanced offensive effort saw four Titans score in double digits. Matthew Leritz had 21 points, Charlie Bair added 15, Peter Lambesis had 14, and Luke Yoder chipped in 11.
NIGHT OF FIRSTS: It was a night of "firsts" for many Titans on Friday night against North Park. Freshman Connor Heaton scored his first career points when he drained a three in the second half while sophomores Cole Khoury and Tommy Nelson scored their first career points on layups. Freshman Ryan Sroka scored a career-high seven points and had two assists.
LERITZ LEADS THE WAY: Junior Matthew Leritz continued his stellar season against North Park on Friday night, recording his third career double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds. This season, Leritz is averaging a double-double with 16.7 points per game and 11.7 rebounds. He leads the CCIW in rebounding average, while his point average ranks fifth. Leritz also ranks 2nd in the conference in blocked shots with 1.7 per game.
MOVIN' ON UP - TITANS UP TO NO. 3: In the second D3Hoops Poll of the season, the Titans came in ranked No. 3. It is the highest rank for the Titans since IWU finished the 2013-14 season as the third-ranked team in the country. Illinois Wesleyan and Wheaton (No. 7) represented the CCIW in the rankings, while North Central received votes.
