BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team will kick off the spring portion of their 2020-21 season Saturday, Feb. 13 at Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Ill. after its first match was cancelled due to weather conditions. The Titans will take on Greenville University at 10:15 a.m. and Loras College at 5:30 p.m.
Last season, IWU finished with a 9-4 record before the spring season was cut short due to COVID-19. This fall, the Titans competed in one competition against the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, which IWU won by a score of 6-1.
The Titans are led by returning seniors
Dylan Mikaili (Naperville, Ill.-Waubonsie Valley), who finished last season with an overall singles record of 10-7,
Joe Morro (Chicago, Ill.-Lincoln Park),
Justin Piotrowski (Palatine, Ill.-Fremd), and
Tim Hughes (Springfield, Ill.-Springfield).
Also returning is junior
Demetrious Triantafel (Indian Head Park, Ill.-Lyons Township) and sophomore
Carter Burk (Bloomington, Ill.-University High). The duo led the team last season with an overall doubles record of 10-7 as partners.
Joining the team this season are three freshmen,
Vishnu Anagani (Bloomington, Ill.-University High),
Ryan McCoy (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Rolling Meadows), and
Evan Turnbull (Bloomington Ill.-Bloomington).

Evergreen Racquet Club Live Video. Results from the day will be posted to IWUSports.com following the conclusion of competition.
