BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team heads to Wheaton College for a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match Saturday, Oct. 9. The Titans and Thunder will kick off at 7 p.m. after the women's game at 4:30 p.m.

The Titans (1-6-1/0-1 CCIW) are back on the field after a scoreless tie with non-conference opponent Illinois College Tuesday, Oct. 5. Wheaton welcomes IWU with an overall record of 6-2-1 (1-1-1 CCIW) with its latest match against CCIW foe North Park University Wednesday, Oct. 6, resulting in a 3-1 loss.

The Green and White and Thunder have a long-standing all-time series. Wheaton holds the advantage 30-4 dating back to the 1988 season. Although, the current IWU unit has
seen success in the last few years against the Thunder.

Beginning with the 2017 season, IWU beat Wheaton for the third time in program history Oct. 23. The Titans repeated a winning result the following season in 2018 after a 1-0 victory Sept. 29. With no showing between the two teams in the 2020 season, the latest meeting resulted in a Titan 1-0 loss during the 2019 season. That same season the Titans advanced to the CCIW Championship game against North Park.

The game will be available via Wheaton's official YouTube page here and live stats can be accessed here.
