Men’s Soccer Concludes Non-Conference Play Against Illinois College

Titans last saw IC in 2002 season

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team travels to Jacksonville, Ill. for its last non-conference matchup of the season, against Illinois College Tuesday, Oct. 5. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.

Senior goalkeeper Brett Sprengel (Hoffman Estates, Ill.-Barrington) recorded his first-full 90 minute match against No. 3 Calvin University Saturday, Oct. 2. The senior also recorded a career-high five saves during the game.

IWU enters the Illinois College campus with an overall record of 1-6 as the Blueboys welcome the Titans with an overall record of 7-4.

The Titans and Blueboys have faced each other a total of 12 times dating back to the 1986 season with their latest matchup resulting in a 4-3 win for the Titans in 2002. The Green and White hold a 9-3 advantage over IC in the all-time series.
