BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team looks to extend its winning streak to five this Saturday, Oct. 30, as Carthage College visits Neis field for Senior Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. with recognition of seniors occurring before kickoff. IWU's record sits at 6-7-1 on the season and 5-2 in the conference as Carthage enters its last regular season game with a 2-4-1 conference standing and 11-6-2 overall.

IWU will recognize nine seniors before kickoff on Saturday in Brett Sprengel (Hoffman Estates, Ill.-Barrington), Austin Woodside (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community), Trevor Martin (San Diego, Calif.-St. Augustine), Donovan Malone (Houston, Texas-St. Pius X), Zack Kokes (Naperville, Ill.-Naperville Central), Ryan Aten (Oswego, Ill.-Oswego East), Keegan Wahlgren (Bolingbrook, Ill.-Bolingbrook), Logan Servin (Milton, Wis.-Milton), and Ryan Bull (Park Ridge, Ill.-Maine South).

The senior class led the Titans to their first-ever College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Championship game appearance in 2019. Senior Kokes also leads his class with 13 career goals, including eight this season.

The Titans are on a four game winning streak, as IWU knocked off Millikin University on the road Wednesday, Oct. 27 by a score of 4-2. The Titans' winning streak began with a win over Augustana College Oct. 16 and followed with wins over Elmhurst University and Carroll University. With a win over Carthage Saturday afternoon, the Titans will have a five game winning streak for the first time since 2018 when IWU went on a seven-game run.

IWU and Carthage have played one another a total of 28 times dating back to the 1995 season. The Firebirds hold a 20-7-1 all-time series advantage over the Titans. However, the last time the two teams met in 2019, IWU shutout Carthage 3-0. Martin scored one of his five career goals, while  goalkeeper Woodside recorded one save.
