NAPERVILLE, Ill. - After three impressive matches that landed Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball senior Jessica McCall (Wayne, Ill. - Wheaton St. Francis) on the Holiday Inn Express Classic III All-Tournament Team, McCall was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday, Oct. 26. It is the second time in her career that she has earned the conference's weekly honor and her first since Oct. 22, 2019.

McCall is the fourth Titan to be selected as the CCIW's Player of the Week, joining Grace Sanders (Sept. 7), Courtney McAuliffe (Oct. 5), and Madi Corey (Oct. 12). Her selection marks the first time four different IWU players have earned the honor in the same season since the CCIW began the weekly honor in 2000.

The Wayne, Ill. native notched 35 kills and 27 digs in Illinois Wesleyan's three matches, Oct. 22-23. McCall tallied a cumulative .115 hitting percentage at outside hitter for the week to lead IWU with a 2-1 record that included wins against Augustana College and Alma College in straight sets. The team's lone loss came to No. 21 UW-Stevens Point in a competitive three-set match.

In her nine sets played, she averaged 2.56 kills per set, 0.44 aces per set, 0.22 blocks per set, and 3.11 points per set. McCall also added two blocks as she played all-around for the Titans. Her best match of the week came against Augustana, where she produced a double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs.

Illinois Wesleyan's next match is Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. as the Green and White is set to host CCIW preseason favorite Carthage College. With a win, IWU will clinch the CCIW Regular Season Championship and earn the No. 1 seed in next week's conference tournament.
