BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team takes a break in its conference schedule to face No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis at Neis Field Wednesday, Oct. 20. The game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.

The Titans moved to a record of 6-6-1 and 3-1 in conference play. The Bears are 11-0-1 and 4-0 in conference play. WashU has been consistently ranked in the top-five of the United Soccer Coaches Association Top-25 Poll all season and have been No. 3. on the list for fifth straight weeks.

The Titans return to the field after a successful 2-0 conference week. IWU traveled to North Central College Wednesday, Oct. 13 to faceoff with the Cardinals. The Titans ended up victorious and left Naperville, Ill. with a 2-1 win. Junior Maggie Peters (Normal, Ill.-Normal Community) scored her first collegiate goal and opened up the scoring for the Green and White. Senior Erin Peck (Wheaton, Ill.-Wheaton St. Francis) finished the job with the game-winning goal, a first of her career as well.

As part of Senior Day celebrations Saturday, Oct. 16, the Titans honored its large senior class with a 2-1 win over Augustana College. Peck opened up the scoring with her second goal of the season. Senior Caelyn Steffens (Normal, Ill.-Normal Community) secured the Titans' win with her game-winning goal to mark her 45th career collegiate goal (26 with Wis.-Platteville, 18 with Ill. Wesleyan).

The Titans welcome WashU on its 10-game winning-streak to Neis Field. The Bears' latest contest was against conference opponent Brandeis University where they won 2-1.

In the all-time series between the two teams, WashU holds the advantage with a 11-5-5 all-time record dating back to the 2000 season. The Titans and Bears played each other every year from 2000 to 2018. After an almost three year hiatus IWU and WashU will face one another again for the 22nd time in program history.
