Men’s Tennis Set for Spring Break Trip

First match is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis is slated to travel to Orlando, Fla. for a four match Spring Break Trip March 10-12. IWU will take on Wabash College, College of St. Scholastica, Colby-Sawyer College, and Curry College.

IWU last competed in a spring break trip during the 2017-18 campaign in South Carolina. 

The Titans will open the trip against College of St. Scholastica with an 11 a.m. ET first serve on Tuesday, March 10. The Titan's 5-4 setback in the last meeting with the Saints evened the previous 2-1 advantage in March 2015. 

Following the dual with St. Scholastica, IWU will take on Wabash at 5 p.m. ET. This will mark the sixth meeting between the Titans and Little Giants in the last decade. IWU holds a 3-2 advantage in competition with the last meeting taking place in April 2014. Then, Illinois Wesleyan put forward its best efforts to conclude a tight 5-4 victory. 

The team will wrap up with a pair of duals on Thursday, March 12 with Colby-Sawyer and Curry. An 11:30 a.m. ET match against the Chargers will mark the first meeting in program stored history. Before returning home, the Titans will battle with Curry at 7 p.m. ET. In 2017, the Colonels handed IWU 9-0 setback.
