ORLANDO, Fla.- The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team split its closing matches of its spring break trip Thursday, March 12 in Orlando, Fla. The Titans dropped a tight 5-4 dual against Colby-Sawyer College but bounced back to best Curry College 7-2. 

Against Colby-Swayer, sophomore Demetrios Triantafel (Indian Head Park, Ill.-LaGrange Lyons HS) and senior Michael Behrensmeyer (Champaign, Ill.-St. Thomas More HS) picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 5 singles. Triantafel defeated CSC's Mike White 6-0, 6-2, while Behrensmeyer tallied a 6-0, 6-0 win against Khameron Savatdy. 

The duo teams at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles also tallied points for the Titans. Triantafel and freshman Carter Burk (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal U High) bested the Charger's Julius Lowman and Cam Lynch. Juniors Justin Piotrowski (Palatine, Ill.-Fremd HS) and Dylan Mikaili (Napperville, Ill.-Waubonsie Valley HS) picked up a 8-5 defeat at No. 2. 

In the second match against Curry, Mikaili defeated the Colonels' Andrew Barron 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, while Behrensmeyer topped Kevin Meade 6-4, 6-3. 

Triantafel and Behrensmeyer teamed up to take victory over Isaiah Goldsmith and Barron at No. 1 doubles. Burk and junior Joe Morro (Chicago, Ill.-Lincoln Park) also tallied a 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles.
