NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team began its conference season with an 8-1 loss against North Central College Friday, Sept. 6. 

Sophomore, Alessia Giardin (Chicago, Ill. / Regina Dominican HS) picked up the Titans lone win of the day at No. 2 singles. Giradin defeated NCC's Alaina Kanthaphixay 6-4 in the first set, before bouncing back from a 6-1 loss to win the point 10-7.

Illinois Wesleyan returns to action tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. with conference opponent North Park.
