BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After a four-match roadtrip, the No. 24 Illinois Wesleyan University volleyball team kicks off an eight-match homestand this weekend, Sept. 6-7, at the first of three Holiday Inn Express Classics. The Titans (0-4) will play their first home match of the year against The University of the South, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m., before clashing with Hendrix College and Otterbein University at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, Sept. 7.
The Tigers are 2-2 on the year, most recently falling at No. 1 Emory 3-1, Aug. 31. Hendrix and Otterbein head into the weekend undefeated. The Warriors enters the weekend a perfect 3-0 record, including a win at No. 14 WashU, Aug. 30.
Junior Jessica McCall (Wayne, Ill.-Wheaton St. Francis) leads the Titans with 37 kills and 38 digs, while freshmen
Riley Epperson (Payson, Ill.-Payson Seymour HS),
Grace Sanders (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington HS),
Evy Makris (Orland Park, Ill.-Sandburg HS), and
Katherine Petty (Rochester, Ill.-Rochester HS) have stepped up as of late. Sophomore
Madi Corey (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East) orchestrates the IWU attack, and is looking to build off of a career-high 49-assist night at WashU, Sept. 4.
