Men's Soccer Hits Road for Non-Conference Finale at Hope

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team will compete in its final non-conference match of the season at Hope College Saturday evening, Sept. 28. The Titans go into the weekend 4-4-0 after their 3-1 victory against Dubuque, Sept. 24, and look to continue building momentum ahead of College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play.

IWU and Hope's only prior meeting came in 2015, with the Titans falling 2-1 on the road. The Flying Dutchmen come into this match 5-4-0, losing to North Park, 4-0, in their most recent match Sept. 25.

Senior Patrick Hickey (Des Plaines, Ill.-St. Viator HS) ranks second among all CCIW players with 26 shots. Hickey and sophomore Logan Servin (Milton, Wis.-Milton HS) are tied for fourth in the CCIW ranks with three goals each. Defensively, senior Alex Ruckstaetter (Glen Ellyn, Ill.-Glenbard West HS) has 24 saves on the season, with a 1.27 goals against average.
