Women’s Soccer Heads to Chicago for Non-Conference Match

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team is back in action at No. 18 University of Chicago Saturday, Sept. 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
The Titans split their two home games at the Titan Soccer Classic last weekend, taking a 2-0 victory against Calvin Sept. 6 and then falling to UW-La Crosse 2-1, Sept. 7. Chicago comes into the match with a 2-1 record, with its most recent result being a 6-0 victory versus Rose-Hulman, Sept. 8.
 
IWU has an 8-11-1 overall record against Chicago all-time, with the series dating back to 1994. The Titans' last victory against the Maroons came on a 1-0 decision Sept. 24, 2015 at Neis Field.
 
Sophomore Caelyn Steffens (Normal, Ill.-Normal Community) leads all Titans with two goals scored, including a one just 14 seconds into the last match against UW-La Crosse, Sept. 7.
