GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team gave No. 2 Calvin College all it could handle Friday night, Aug. 30, at Zuidema Field. The Titans battled back from a first-half deficit, but ultimately came up short, 2-1.
Illinois Wesleyan held a 7-6 edge in shots, including a 4-2 advantage in shots on target while Calvin led the corner tally 4-1.

Orion Marty (Addison, Texas-Greenhill School) netted the fifth goal of his career. Calvin responded with the eventual game-winner in the 78th-minute to hold off Illinois Wesleyan's upset bid.
The Titans return to the pitch tomorrow to take on Kalamazoo College. The match is schedule to get underway at 6 p.m. ET.
