NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Trailing 2-0 early, the Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team scored seven unanswered goals to forge ahead and went on to a 12-4 win over North Central College on Wednesday, April 3, at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium in Naperville, Ill.
Illinois Wesleyan is 9-1 overall and 1-0 in the CCIW while the Cardinals are 7-2 and 0-1 in the league.
IWU trailed 2-0 with 8:30 left in the first period and went on to score the next seven goals in the contest, winning the second period 4-0, and holding a 7-2 lead after a goal by freshman

For the Illinois Wesleyan offense, senior attacker
Bailey Marth had a team-high four goals and senior
Will Rossi and junior
Patrick Murphy each tallied two goals. The Titans fired off 54 shots to 26 for the Cardinals and IWU led in shots on goal, 30-11.
IWU had 38 ground balls to 32 for North Central. Senior
J.C. Grabarek, who won 15 of 18 faceoffs, had 12 ground balls and senior
Zack Ladd collected six.
