BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Seniors Julie Josten and Jillian Runyon enjoyed a pair of wins on the Illinois Wesleyan softball Seniors' Day as the team took a 9-0 win and a 6-4 win on Saturday, April 20, at the IWU Softball Field.

The Titans improved to 25-6 overall and 10-0 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play as the Bluejays are now 7-20 overall and 1-11 against conference foes.

A base hit in the second game gave Runyon the all-time hits lead in Illinois Wesleyan history. Runyon now has 205 hits and broke the mark of 204 held by Ashley Deck (2005-08). Go here to see current career, season and game records.

In game one, IWU needed only six hits while taking advantage of four Bluejay errors en route to a 9-0 win in five innings. Junior Ally Wiegand limited Elmhurst to two hits while striking out eight.
Colleen Palczynski had two hits with a double and Brittany Murphy had two hits for the Titans in the opener.

Palczynski also had two hits with a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning that snapped a 4-4 deadlock and sent Illinois Wesleyan ahead to stay.
Pitching the final two frames, Wiegand (15-2) also got the win in the second game, relieving starter Brea Walker, who went the first five innings and allowed one earned run on six hits.
