BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Seniors
Julie Josten and
Jillian Runyon enjoyed a pair of wins on the Illinois Wesleyan softball Seniors' Day as the team took a 9-0 win and a 6-4 win on Saturday, April 20, at the IWU Softball Field.
The Titans improved to 25-6 overall and 10-0 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play as the Bluejays are now 7-20 overall and 1-11 against conference foes.
A base hit in the second game gave Runyon the all-time hits lead in Illinois Wesleyan history. Runyon now has 205 hits and broke the mark of 204 held by Ashley Deck (2005-08).

In game one, IWU needed only six hits while taking advantage of four Bluejay errors en route to a 9-0 win in five innings. Junior
Ally Wiegand limited Elmhurst to two hits while striking out eight.
Colleen Palczynski had two hits with a double and
Brittany Murphy had two hits for the Titans in the opener.
Palczynski also had two hits with a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning that snapped a 4-4 deadlock and sent Illinois Wesleyan ahead to stay.
Pitching the final two frames, Wiegand (15-2) also got the win in the second game, relieving starter
Brea Walker, who went the first five innings and allowed one earned run on six hits.

Illinois Wesleyan has its annual Go 4 The Goal/Strikeout Cancer Game on Tuesday, April 23, with a 4 p.m. doubleheader against North Central College at IWU Field.
