Titan Baseball Loses 6-2 at WashU on Sunday

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team saw its losing streak go to four straight games with a 6-2 setback at Washington U. on Sunday, March 24, on Kelly Field in St. Louis.

The Titans are 7-7 overall and the weekend three-game sweep gives the Bears a 12-3-1 record.

Illinois Wesleyan got nine hits in the game with two coming from freshman centerfielder Dom DiLello and two from junior shortstop Jeran Simpson. DiLello provided an RBI double in the second inning, knocking home Schneider, who had singled.
The Titans used doubles by junior third baseman Dalton Fletcher and sophomore catcher Eric Kozlowski in the sixth inning for their other run.

Sophomore righthander Eric Bennes (0-1), the first of five Titan pitchers, threw the first three innings and surrendered six hits with two walks and three strikeouts and three first inning runs, two of which were earned.
