CLERMONT, Fla. -- The No. 2-ranked Illinois Wesleyan softball team lost for the first time this season, falling 3-2 to Calvin College in the final day of play at the PFX Athletics Spring Games in Clermont, Fla., on Saturday, March 16.

The Titans are 6-1 and Calvin improved to 3-0. Saturday's second scheduled game, against Rowan University, was cancelled due to rain.

Senior third baseman Julie Josten had two of the Titans' four hits in a game that had no extra-base hits. Juniors Shelby Fulk and Mia Massaro each had a hit and a run batted in. Junior Brea Walker allowed five hits and only one earned run across six innings in the circle, striking out three and walking two.

What's Next?
Illinois Wesleyan plays in the Schutt Invitational II, hosted by Washington U. in St. Louis, next weekend. On Saturday, the Titans will play WashU at 1:15 p.m. and Coe College at 3:30 p.m. and on Sunday, IWU will meet Coe at 11 a.m. and WashU at 3:30 p.m. Go here for links to live stats and live streaming video.
