NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team limited the No. 13-ranked North Central Cardinals to 37 percent shooting from the field and just nine second half baskets in earning a 72-64 win at Gregory Arena in Naperville, Ill., on Wednesday, Feb. 6.
The Titans, who trailed 36-31 at halftime, outscored the Cardinals by a 41-28 margin in the second half to improve to 14-8 overall and 7-6 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Cardinals are now 18-4 overall and 10-3 in the league.

Brady Rose led IWU with 16 points and sophomore
Doug Wallen had 14 points and a game-high and career-high 12 rebounds. Senior

In a back-and-forth game in the first half, the Titans stayed close and never allowed the Cardinals to amass a lead of greater than five points. With the game tied at 38-38, a 3-pointer by
Colin Bonnett (at 16:27) and a trey from Wallen (at 15:56) staked the Titans to a six-point lead and IWU never relinquished the advantage the rest of the way. North Central closed the gap to one-point on two occasions (56-55 at 7:38, 60-59 at 5:55) but never gained another lead.
Tommy Koth, who fouled out of the game, hit five 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 24 for North Central. Matt Cappelletti, with 11 points, was the only other Cardinal in double figures.

Illinois Wesleyan has its annual Seniors' Night with a 7 p.m. game against Elmhurst College at the Shirk Center on Saturday, Feb. 9 ... Elmhurst is 12-10 overall and 7-6 in the CCIW after a 91-64 road victory at North Park on Wednesday. Jeremy Ireland enjoyed a career-night for the Bluejays, finishing with 30 points and 11 rebounds.
