LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- With four goals coming from freshman
Landry Elliott, the Illinois Wesleyan women's lacrosse team posted a 19-16 win over Rhodes College in a neutral site game played at UofL Lacrosse Stadium in Louisville, Ky., on Sunday, Feb. 17.
The Titans are 2-0 this season while Rhodes is now 0-2.
IWU outshot the Lynx, 34-32, and had a 31-27 advantage in shots on goal. In addition to Elliott's four tallies, the Titans got three goals apiece from seniors
Grainne Kelly and
Dani Engelbreit, sophomore
Riley Rooney and freshman
Cassandra Jones,
Kelly also provided three assists with seniors
Sam Bidlack and
Claudia Richman each having two.
Engelbreit paced IWU with four ground ball pickups and two caused turnovers and sophomore goalkeeper
Janaye Godfrey made 11 saves.
Baylee Barker had six goals with two assists and Annika Hedlund scored five goals for the Lynx.

Illinois Wesleyan plays a scrimmage game at Monmouth College at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21. The next regular season game for the Titans is at DePauw University on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
