BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team will look to hoist the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship trophy for the second straight season when the second-seed Titans host fourth-seeded Augustana College Saturday afternoon, Nov. 9. A win would guarantee the Titans a spot in the Division III women's soccer tournament for the seventh straight season, which starts next weekend, Nov. 16.

Maria Fields (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East HS) posted a shutout for the second consecutive match.
The first meeting between the Titans and Vikings resulted in a 3-1 IWU win, Oct. 23, as Shanks, and sophomores Erin Peck (Wheaton, Ill.-Wheaton St. Francis HS) and
Caelyn Steffens (Normal, Ill.-Normal Community) scored the trio of goals to propel Illinois Wesleyan to victory.
Augustana ended their regular season with an overall record of 9-3-3 (5-3 CCIW) as it claimed the fourth seed. The Vikings advanced in the penalty shootout at top-seeded Wheaton College 4-2 after a scoreless draw between the two teams in the CCIW semifinal, Wednesday, Nov. 6.
The Titans ride an eight-game winning streak into the championship match, which is tied for fourth-longest in program history. They also have performed strongly at home, going 7-1 in the previous eight games played at Neis Field this season.
