BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team finished the regular season with a scoreless draw against Elmhurst College Saturday afternoon, Nov. 2, at Neis Field. The College Conference of Illinois and Wesleyan clash marked the final home game for the Titans 12-man senior class.
With the draw, Illinois Wesleyan's record now sits at 9-7-1 overall and 5-2-1 in CCIW games. Elmhurst is now 9-8-2 overall. The Titans, who secured a spot in the conference tournament earlier this week, will be the No. 3 seed, while Elmhurst locked up the No. 4 seed with the result.
The Titans held a 21-5 advantage in shots, including a 5-4 edge in shots on goal. IWU manufactured nine corners to Elmhurst's two, and committed 26 fouls to EC's 15. SeniorÂ
