WHEATON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team kick off CCIW play with their match at Wheaton College, Friday, Oct. 4. IWU's record is 4-5-0 coming into Friday's match, with their last match a 1-0 overtime defeat at Hope College last Saturday, Sept. 28.

The Thunder presently sport a 6-4-1 overall record, with their first two conference matches being losses to Elmhurst (2-4, Sept. 28) and North Central College in overtime (2-3, Oct. 1).

The Titans have a 5-28 overall record against Wheaton in the all-time series, though IWU have taken the last two victories. Last season's edition between the two teams had IWU defeating the Thunder 1-0 as junior Keagan James (Kokomo, Ind.-Kokomo HS) scored the only goal with sophomore Donovan Malone (Houston, Texas-St. Pius X HS) assisting.

IWU have outscored their opponents 15-12 entering the conference schedule, and have a 58 to 43 advantage in shots on goal. Seinors Orion Marty (Addison, Texas-Greenhill School) and Justin Yaeger (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln-Way West HS) share the team lead with two assists each.
