Women’s Soccer Trying for Five In-A-Row at Carroll Saturday

IWU has outscored opponents 23-5 in last nine games

WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team looks to continue its string of recent excellent performances against Carroll University in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play, Saturday, Oct. 26.

The Titans have a 9-5-0 record and a 4-1 CCIW mark going into the match, with the Titans winning four straight games and eight out of their last nine. In the last nine games, IWU has outscored their opposition 23 to 5.

IWU holds a 4-1-1 advantage over Carroll in the all-time series. The Pioneers have a 6-5-3 record and an 0-3-2 CCIW mark going into the match. Their last match was a scoreless draw at Elmhurst College, last Saturday, Oct. 26.

The Titans rank third in the CCIW for goals scored (28), shots (234), and corners (91). 13 different players have registered a point for the season, with 10 scoring a goal. For career milestones, junior Cameron Hindel (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia HS) needs one more goal for 25 career goals and two more points for 60 career points. Senior Flower Edington (Wilmette, Ill.-New Trier Township HS) is three points away from 65 career points and two assists from 20 in her career.
