BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Taking a break from College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team returns to tournament action this weekend, Friday-Saturday, Oct. 11-12, at the Dig Panici Classic hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Titans open up the weekend with Friday matches against UW-La Crosse and UW-Stevens Point at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m., respectively, before taking on No. 9 UWW at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
IWU heads into the weekend with a 3-13 overall record, but has won three of its last four matches, including back-to-back CCIW wins over Augustana and North Central. UWL is 8-10 on the year and carries a three-match losing streak into its Friday afternoon match against the Titans. UW-Stevens Point is 17-5 on the season, while UW-Whitewater's current nine-match winning streak has them sitting at 15-3 on the year. The Titans own a 13-34 overall record against this weekend's competition. IWU and UWSP are tied 5-5 in the all-time series, while Illinois Wesleyan trails in the all-time tally against UW-La Crosse (6-10) and UW-Whitewater (2-19).

Jessica McCall (Wayne, Ill.-Wheaton St. Francis HS) leads the Titans with 172 kills, while ranking seventh in the league with 2.83 per set. Sophomore
Madi Corey (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East HS) sits sixth in the CCIW with 6.62 assists per set, having racked up 398 on the year. She is also seventh in the conference in aces per set (0.40). Defensively, freshman
Evy Makris (Orland Park, Ill.-Sandburg HS) and sophomore
Amber Juarez (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal U High) are among the conference's best as Makris is slotted seventh in blocks per set (0.77) and Juarez is sixth in the CCIW with 4.02 digs per set. As a team, the Titans rank third in the league in blocks with 1.83 per set.
