Women’s Soccer Prepares for CCIW Match at North Park

IWU leads all-time series 23-3

CHICAGO - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team hits the road Saturday, Oct. 12 as it takes on North Park University for a conference match in the Windy City. IWU won a 2-1 decision in overtime Wednesday. Oct. 9 against North Central College with senior Flower Edington (Wilmette, Ill.-New Trier Township HS) scoring both goals.

The Titans currently hold a 23-3 overall record against the Vikings, and ride a 20-game winning streak going into this year's meeting. North Park has a record of 2-8 overall with an 0-2 mark in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play, with its last match resulting in a 10-0 loss at DePauw University, Tuesday, Oct. 8.

With Edington's game winning goal in overtime, she now ranks in the top-10 for career game-winners with eight. Junior Cameron Hindel (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia HS) also has two game-winning goals of her own this season, and ranks fifth in the all-time ranks with 11 game-winners.
