Sydney Shanks scored a career-high 25 points, including 17 in the first half, to pace the Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team to an 81-65 win over Augustana at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Ill., on Saturday, Jan. 19.
The Titans are now 15-3 overall and 8-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Vikings are 11-7 overall and 5-4 in the league.
Shanks's previous high was 22 at Wis.-Stevens Point (12/3/18) and she made 12 of 15 field goals as Illinois Wesleyan shot a season-high .565 (35 of 62). Shanks also had five steals, two assists and two rebounds.

Ashley Schneider each grabbed six rebounds as Illinois Wesleyan held a commanding 34-26 lead on the boards, including a 23-8 margin in the first half when IWU led in the game by a 48-30 score.
With 6:13 to play in the game, IWU built up its largest lead of 31 points at 80-49.
The Vikings were led by 13 points from Jeni Crain off the bench and 10 points from Sadie Roberts.
