Brady Rose scored 26 points and sophomore
Grant Wolfe added 20 points with seven rebounds as the Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team claimed an 82-80 win at Elmhurst College's at R.A. Faganel Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 16.
Illinois Wesleyan is now 11-6 overall and 4-4 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Bluejays are also 4-4 in the league and 9-8 overall.

Doug Wallen each grabbing six. Rose was 10-of-15 from the floor, including 5-of-7 in 3-pointers, and Wolfe was 6-of-11 from the field and made all eight of his charity tosses.
The Titans had a 40-37 lead at halftime but the Bluejays battled back to tie the game at 40-40 and held a 49-47 lead with 16:39 left. Spurred by a Rose 3-pointer, the Titans went on a 19-9 surge to get a 68-58 lead with 8:28 left and held the edge the rest of the way.
Illinois Wesleyan shot .544 (31 of 57) from the field, their fourth best of the season, and made seven of 17 3-pointers (.412) and 13 of 15 from the line (.867).
The Bluejays, who made all 20 of their free throw efforts, shot identical .414 percentages from the field overall (24 of 58) and from 3-point range (12 of 29). High-scoring Jake Rhode had 28 points and became only the fourth player in CCIW history to shoot at least 15-of-15 from the foul line. Derek Dotlich added 21 and had a game-best eight rebounds.

Illinois Wesleyan will have its annual "Not So Pink Zone" game on Saturday, Jan. 19, hosting No. 2-ranked Augustana at 7 p.m. at the Shirk Center. Raffle tickets are $10 with all proceeds going to the Bloomington-Normal Community Cancer Center. Prizes include two round-trip airplane tickets to anywhere in the contiguous U.S., a Fitbit, a 42-inch TV, and cash. Fewer than 350 tickets remain and may be purchased at the Shirk Center Athletic Offices this week from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
