IWU Men's Soccer Wins 1-0 Over Knox in Weather-Shortened Game

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- In a game shortened to 71:35 by weather and two lightning delays, the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team took a 1-0 nonconference victory over Knox College at Neis Field on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

The Titans improved to 2-1-0 and the Prairie Fire is now 0-2-1.

Freshman Donovan Malone scored his first goal of the season on a header at 66:55 after an assist from freshman Zack Kokes.

The Titans outshot Knox, 8-5, and had three shots on goal to one for the Prairie Fire that was saved by IWU junior goalkeeper Alex Ruckstaetter.

What's Next?
The Titans play a 3 p.m. game on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the University of Dubuque.
