DUBUQUE, Iowa -- After falling into a 2-0 hole, the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team scored the final four goals of the match in claiming a 4-2 road nonconference win at the University of Dubuque on Saturday, Sept. 8.

The Titans improved to 3-1 this season while the Spartans are now 1-1.

Senior Blake Tempel got the Titans on the board just before halftime (43:52) with a header goal off a cross from sophomore Bobby Reichert.

Junior Jack Dilger tied the match at 63:06 with an unassisted goal off a punch out from the Spartans goalie 

Junior Patrick Hickey put the ball in the goal at 76:43 off a Joey Delbert corner kick to give IWU a 3-2 lead and freshman Donovan Malone capped the scoring with 35 seconds to play in the game on an unassisted breakaway goal.

Junior keeper Alex Ruckstaetter made three saves as the Titans outshot the Spartans, 15-12, and had nine shots on goal to five for Dubuque.

The Titans continue their Iowa road-tripping with games next weekend - at Central on Friday, Sept. 14, and at Grinnell on Saturday, Sept. 15.
