Konrad Wasilewski and
Mason Maier each scored goals as the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team claimed a 2-1 season-opening victory over Kalamazoo at Neis Field on Friday, August 31.
Maier put the Titans on top at 13:22 with an assist to freshman
Zack Kokes and Wasilewski made it 2-0 in the 75th minute with assists from
Keagan James and
Josh Essary.
The lone Hornet tally came at 82:26 as Bobby Dennerll scored on a header after a corner kick from Ben Tetlow.
Illinois Wesleyan outshot Kalamazoo, 13-3, and had five shots on goal compared to one for the Hornets.
What's Next?
The Titans entertain Monmouth College at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Neis Field.
