BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (Thursday, April 19) -- The Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team scored seven third quarter goals to extend a six-goal halftime lead and went on to a 24-8 win over Beloit College at Tucci Stadium on Thursday.
The Titans are now 11-3 overall while the Buccaneers are 6-6. IWU led 9-3 at halftime but went on a 15-5 scoring binge in the second half to secure the victory.
Junior
Bailey Marth led the Titans with seven goals with three goals each coming from junior
Will Rossi, sophomore
Alex Doorenbos and sophomore
Peter Trunk as Illinois Wesleyan outshot Beloit by a 66-31 margin.
Senior
Nick Winter provided four assists along with two goals and Trunk also had three assists.
Illinois Wesleyan dominated the faceoffs, winning 28 of 34 in the game with junior
J.C. Grabarek getting 10 of 12 and freshman
Max Bousky getting 12 of 14.
Freshman
McGuire Mynatt played all 60 minutes in goal and made five saves. Illinois Wesleyan also collected 64 ground balls to 29 for the Buccaneers.

Illinois Wesleyan plays another nonconference game at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill., with a 4 p.m. faceoff on Saturday, April 21 … The Eagles are 9-5 overall.
