BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (Friday, April 13) – The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team had 41 hits with 16 extra base hits in winning games by scores of 19-4 and 19-6 over Carroll University on Friday, April 13 at Horenberger Field.
The Titans are 15-10 overall and 6-6 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Pioneers fall to 13-12 overall and 2-10 in the league. The teams were scheduled to finish their three-game series on Saturday but that game has been postponed until Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Horenberger Field.
In game one, IWU had 11 extra base hits with six home runs, scored in every inning and put up a 7 in the fourth inning to blow open a 3-3 game. The Titans added four in the fifth and five more in the sixth.

Gino Cavalieri each had four hits with Cavalieri getting a pair of doubles and a home run. Sophomore shortstop

John Bosco knocked home four runs.
Sophomore lefthander
Jim O'Brien (1-1) was the starting and winning pitcher, throwing the first four innings and allowing three runs on seven hits with one walk and a strikeout.
In game two, Illinois Wesleyan plated nine runs in the first inning and six more in the second to put the game out of reach early.
Bosco had four hits with a double and five runs knocked home while Figus and Skopick each had three hits. Sophomore first baseman
Garrett Shea, who homered in both ends of the sweep, added a double and had four RBI.
Sophomore righthander
Casey Becker (1-1) was the winning hurler, pitching the first three frames and punching out five while allowing three runs on three hits.
