DECATUR, Ill. -- The No. 23-ranked Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team never trailed in claiming a 65-56 win over Millikin University at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Ill., on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
The Titans are 18-5 overall and remain in first place with an 11-3 mark in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Big Blue is 11-13 overall and 4-11 against the league.

Illinois Wesleyan got the first three points of the game on a 3-pointer by junior
Colin Bonnett, who paced Illinois Wesleyan with 15 points. Millikin forced the only tie of the game at 3-3 for 11 seconds before the Titans went on an 8-0 run to gain an 11-3 edge with 16:36 to go in the first half and led, without ties, for the remaining 38:11 of the game. The Big Blue closed to within three points at 17-14 at the 9:16 mark prior to a 10-0 Titan surge that staked IWU to a 27-14 lead with 5:04 before halftime.
Millikin got no closer than eight points the remainder of the game.

Brady Rose added 14 points in the win and sophomore
Alex O'Neill netted 11 points. Sophomore
Miles Curry was the Titans' rebound leader with six as IWU held a 38-35 edge on the boards in the game.
Illinois Wesleyan managed just 25 per cent accuracy from 3-point land (6 of 24), the third-lowest outing of the season. The five free throws and eight free throw attempts were both season game lows for Illinois Wesleyan.
Millikin junior Elijah Henry provided his seventh double-double of the season, scoring 21 points and gathering 11 boards.
