BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan men's and women's basketball teams will play College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin games on Wednesday, Feb. 14, with the men (17-5, 10-3 CCIW) on the road against Millikin at 7 p.m. and the women's team (19-3, 12-1 CCIW) on the Shirk Center court against the Big Blue, also a 7 p.m. tipoff.

CCIW TOURNAMENTS: If Illinois Wesleyan men and women both host the postseason CCIW tournaments, it would be the first time it has ever occurred ... The women's semifinals would be on Thursday (Feb. 22) and the men's semifinals would be on Friday (Feb. 23). Both title games would be Saturday (Feb. 24) with the women's game at 2 p.m. and the men's game at 7:30 p.m. ... The CCIW women's tournament has gone on for 15 seasons, started in 2003, while the men's tournament has taken place since 2006 (12 years).

TITAN NOTES: Illinois Wesleyan is No. 23 in the D3hoops.com poll, down from No. 17 last week ... Of 416 teams in Division III stats, IWU is 41st with 9.9 3-pointers per game and 23rd with a 1.38 assist/turnover ratio. The Titans are 14th with just 10.9 turnovers per game... Junior
Brady Rose is 24th in scoring (22.4 ppg), 45th with 352 field goal tries and 48th in field goals made (169). He has 1,031 points and is No. 41 all-time at Illinois Wesleyan. He is just behind Bob Spear (1035, 1973-77) …Rose's 22.4 average is fifth best in an IWU single season and his 60 treys are tied for the 16th most … IWU has a 3-pointer in 624 straight games (an NCAA Division III record) dating back to an 86-76 win at North Park on Jan. 28, 1996.

The national leader is Tyheim Monroe of Cabrini, who has 21 and is averaging 22.0 points and 15.4 rebounds per game.

Ron Rose has a 223-108 overall mark (.675) with a 107-60 CCIW ledger. He is third in wins at IWU, behind
Dennie Bridges (667-319, 1965-01) and Jack Horenberger (264-212, 1945-65) ... Mark Scherer is in his first season at Millikin. He previously spent 17 years as the head coach at Elmhurst, compiling a record of 245-189 overall and 116-122 in the CCIW with one championship (2001).
THE SERIES: Illinois Wesleyan has a 149-78 lead in the series against Millikin, including a 78-62 win in Bloomington on Jan. 17. The Titans trailed, 37-35, at halftime of that game.

Sydney Shanks suffered a season-ending broken wrist on Saturday in an 87-58 win over Carroll. In 21 starts, she averaged 7.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 steals.

Nina Anderson has made a league-leading 2.53 3-pointers per game in addition to leading the conference in 3-point percentage at .485 ... As a junior Anderson is having her best shooting season to date shooting .461 from the field, an increase from a .359 performance as a sophomore ... Freshman
Kendall Sosa ranks second in the conference's 3-point shooting ranks at .448 percent with freshman

BEHIND ENEMY LINES: Millikin arrives in Bloomington as winners of their last two conference games (North Central and Augustana) ...In national Division III stats, Millikin ranks 116th in offense and 368th in defense ... Devin Curry's 16.1 points per game ranks No. 2 in the CCIW this season ... Three other members of the Big Blue average double figures: Yanni Sadler (11.1), Emily Schultz (10.5), and Jordan Hildebrand(10.4) ...
