BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Senior
Jillian Cole was chosen as the "Most Valuable Performer" while senior
Jackie Dziewior earned the "Hardest Worker" honor and freshman
Jenna Mirande was chosen as the "Best Newcomer" for the 2018 Illinois Wesleyan women's cross country team.
Cole was the fifth Illinois Wesleyan woman ever to qualify for the national NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships and she placed 74th of 279 competitors at the meet with a time of 22:22.3 in the 6,000-meter course.
Cole was an all-Midwest Region selection as she finished 15th at the Midwest Regional and was Illinois Wesleyan's top finisher in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin championships, placing third and earning all-conference honors with a time of 21:58.
