BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- For the second straight year and sixth time overall, the Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team will play in the NCAA Division III Tournament, earning the berth with a 3-1 win over Carthage on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Shirk Center.
The No. 12-ranked Titans, winners of 20 straight, took the
College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournament title by scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-18, 25-23 and improved to 25-5 this season. The pairings for the Division III national tournament will be announced at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, at
NCAA.com.

The Titans are 25-5 and in only six other seasons have IWU teams won 25 games or more - 1995 (25), 2003 and 1997 (26 wins), 1996 and 1994 (27 wins) and 30 (1989).

Tyler Brown was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the CCIW Tournament and was joined on the all-tournament team by seniors
Rachel Burkman and
Leah Seielstad.
Others on the all-tournament team were Ellie LeCount and Laura DeRosales, Carthage; Marie Gerbasi, Millikin; and Lauren Wiltsie, North Park.
Against the Lady Reds, Burkman had 15 kills and 11 digs, Brown had 14 kills and 20 digs and freshman
Bev Ryan made nine kills and had four blocks.
Seielstad led the Titans with 29 assists and freshman
Madi Corey had 22 assists and two service aces. The net play of IWU was highlighted by seven blocks from senior
Maddie Williams and six from
Heidi Dague while freshman libero
Amber Juarez made 17 defensive digs.
