2018 CCIW Women's Tennis Championships Results

MOLINE, Ill. -- Sam Robinson got a win at No. 6 singles and the No. 2 doubles team of Sofia Pinheiro and Rebecca Rochacz also won a first round match at the 2018 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin women's tennis championships, played at the Quad Cities Tennis Centre in Moline, Ill., on Thursday, Oct. 18.

Robinson defeated Lindsey McAuliffe of Elmhurst, 6-0, 7-6 (4), to advance in the championship round to play top-seed Kalli Majewski of Augustana on Friday.

No. 6 seed Pinheiro and Rochacz upset the No. 3 seeded team of Diana Barcelata and Morgan House from North Central, 8-5. The Titans will meet No. 2 seed Sara Magnuson and Nicole Freeman of Wheaton.

After the first day, IWU has four points and is in a tie for fifth place. Augustana is in first with 18 points, followed by Carthage and Wheaton with 16 each.
