ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- Despite having a 15-8 advantage in shots taken, the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team was shut out, 2-0, at Augustana College on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Thorson-Lucken Field in Rock Island, Ill.
The Titans are now 10-3-1 overall and 3-2-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Vikings are 10-2-3 overall and 3-1-2 against the league.

Kelli McCarthy made three saves.
After a scoreless first half, Augie's Karissa Gottardo scored her fifth goal of the year at the 58 minute mark on an assist by Abby Wendell. The Vikings got a padder at 70:44 from Lauren Muzzalupo, her sixth goal of the season.

Illinois Wesleyan hosts Carroll University at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Neis Field, and it will be "Seniors' Day" at IWU, honoring
Jordan Bruscianelli and
