THE GAME: The No. 17-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team (17-2, 10-0 first place in CCIW) hosts Augustana College (12-7, 5-5 CCIW) at the Shirk Center at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31.
 
TITAN NOTES: As a team, IWU is No. 3 nationally of 450 D-III teams in scor­ing offense, No. 3 in assist/turnover ratio, No. 6 in field-goal percentage, and No. 7 in turnover margin ... Senior Molly McGraw has 1,408 career points, ranking No. 4 in Titan records. She is No. 5 all-time in shots made (552) … Senior Rebekah Ehresman has 1,101 career points, which is No. 14 in IWU records. Also in school records, she ranks No. 5 in free throws (285), No. 14 in rebounds (531) and No. 6 in assists (321) ... Ehresman is No. 3 nationally in assist/turnover ratio (3.18) ... Junior Maddie Merritt's .844 career free throw percentage is the best in an IWU uniform (271 of 321) ... Freshman Raven Hughes needs 29 more made baskets to qualify for the IWU single-season field goal percentage record. Currently she is shooting .696 from the field (71 of 102). STOLEN GOODS: On the back of Ehresman's 3.37 steals per game, IWU ranks No. 12 nationally in steals per game with 14.5 ... Among top 25 teams, the Titans rank third in steals behind 12th-ranked Christopher Newport and 21st-ranked Marymount (Va.). With 64 steals on the season, Ehresman trails Illinois Wesleyan's single-season steals record holder, Christina Solari (2009-10) by 24 steals ... BEHIND ENEMY LINES: Despite losing their last two CCIW games, Augustana sits at 12-7 for the season ... Alexis Jones was the CCIW "Player of the Week" for Jan. 22 ... THE SERIES: Dating back to 1976, Illinois Wesleyan holds a 43-33 advantage over Augustana. The Titans have won four of the last five meetings and eight of the last 10. Earlier this season, Illinois Wesleyan defeated Augustana by a score of 102-57.

SCOUTING THE VIKINGS: Juniors Chrishawn Orange and Nolan Ebel and senior Dylan Sortillo pace the Vikings. Orange (15.5 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 16 stl) leads the team in scoring, rebounding and steals. Ebel (14.8 ppg, .506 fg%, .484 3p%, .764 ft%, 75 ast) leads in field goal, 3-point and free throw percentages, as well as assists. He is currently third in school history with a career 3-point percentage of .452. Sortillo (12.7 ppg, 3.6 rpg, .406 3p%, .842 ft%, 49 ast) has a team-high 41 3-point field goals this year and is tied with Hunter Hill for third in school history with 157 career threes. Sophomore center Micah Martin (7.6 ppg, 4.4 rpg) leads the Vikings with 33 blocked shots and shares the team rebounding lead with Orange. Martin's 93 career blocks are tied with Shane Price for third-most at Augustana since the statistic was first officially tracked in 1979-80.
 
COACHES: In his 12th season at IWU, Ron Rose has a 222-106 overall mark (.670) with a 107-59 CCIW ledger. He is third in wins at IWU, behind Dennie Bridges (667-319, 1965-01) and Jack Horenberger (264-212, 1945-65) ... In his 19th season at Augustana, Grey Giovanine has a 379-136 overall mark and a 182-82 conference record. His record against Illinois Wesleyan is 26-17 … He had an 80-85 record at Lamar.
 
THE SERIES: The Titans won the first meeting vs. Augustana this season, 72-53, at the Shirk Center on Jan. 3, when the Vikings were ranked No. 2 nationally … IWU leads the series, 93-73 (since 1914-15)...IWU snapped a six-game losing streak to Augie with a 30-point win over the Vikings (107-77) last Feb. 21 ...
