BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team defeat UW-La Crosse by a final score of 1-0 on Saturday, September 23 from Neis Field. Freshman Cameron Hindel scored the lone goal of the contest, her seventh of the season. Hindel now ranks second in goals scored for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW).

The sides were evenly matched throughout the first half, heading into halftime drawn at zero. Illinois Wesleyan out-shot the Eagles in the first 6-2 with two shots on goal.

Hindel finally broke through the Eagle defense in the 48th minute to IWU a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Flower Edington saved the ball off the end line, passing it to freshman Megan O'Neal who found HIndel in front of the goalkeeper for a close range shot attempt.
