Keagan James slotted home the Titans lone offensive goal of the afternoon.
With a draw the Titans improved to 0-1-1 while St. John Fisher fell to 1-0-1 on the season.
James got the scoring started in the 19th minute, taking advantage of a Cardinal turnover and beating two defenders to provide his team with the lead. Illinois Wesleyan out-shot St. John Fisher 6-to-3 in the first half and 13-to-8 overall. The Titans also held a shots on goal advantage of 6-to-4.
IWU took a 2-0 lead in the 61st minute of the second half after freshman
Ryan Gibbs' throw-in bounced off the goalkeepers hands and into the back of the net.
The Cardinals cut Illinois Wesleyan's lead to one after Amar Mann found the top right corner of the net from the edge of the box. St. John Fisher tied the game up at 2-all in the 84th minute after Dallas Kaiser's throw-in found the head of Justin Ferron who placed the ball outside of the reach of Titan goalkeeper

Neither team was able to score in two overtime periods despite the Titans placing three shots on goal.

The Titans return to Bloomington, Ill. to face Benedictine University on Wednesday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m. Benedictine holds a current record of 0-1-0 after falling to North Park University by a final score of 3-0. The Eagles will face Whitworth University prior to their match with Illinois Wesleyan.
