BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan's men's soccer team allowed a goal in the 85th minute in a 1-0 loss to Benedictine University at IWU's Neis Field on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
 
Hayden Van Son scored at 84:48 for the only goal of the game for the Eagles, who improved to 2-1-0 while the Titans fell to 0-2-1.

Benedictine had a 13-11 edge in shots and had six shots on goal compared to two for the Titans with one coming from the foot of senior forward Ryan Kaplan and the other from sophomore forward Konrad Wasilewski. IWU sophomore keeper Alex Ruckstaetter made five saves in the match.
