BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team scored three goals in the first 22 minutes of the match and made them hold up in a 3-2 win over Luther College in the season opener for both clubs on Friday, Sept. 1, at Neis Field.
Freshman 
Megan O'Neal opened the scoring at 6:17 on an assist from senior 
Rachel Westerkamp and freshman 
Cameron Hindel found a clear net at 8:30 to give the Titans a 2-0 lead.
With the score 2-1, Hindel scored her second goal of the match at 21:04 with an assist to freshman 
Sydney Pinder to stake IWU to a 3-1 lead.
The Titans outshot the Norse, 21-9, and had 14 shots on goal compared to eight. Freshman keeper 
Kelli McCarthy made six saves.

Illinois Wesleyan will play at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
