BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan took advantage of an eight-goal second period to build up an 11-7 halftime lead and went on to a 23-15 win over Elmhurst on "Seniors Night" at Tucci Stadium on Saturday, April 15.

The Titans improved to 11-3 overall and 4-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Bluejays are 5-8 overall and 1-2 in the CCIW.

On a night when the seniors were honored,
Michael Julius poured in five goals and
Evan Mok-Lamme added four. Freshman
Alex Doorenbos also had four goals with three coming from junior
Nick Winter and senior
Jacob Perry. Senior
Tim Smith had a pair of goals and sophomore
Will Rossi and sophomore
Bailey Marth, who led the team with five assists, each scored one.
Julius, Mok-Lamme and Winter each provided two assists.
Sophomore J.C Grabarek was 21-for-30 in faceoffs and earned a team-high 17 ground balls as IWU collected 53 compared to 33 for Elmhurst. Illinois Wesleyan, who outshot Elmhurst 51-34 overall and 39-22 in shots on goal, was successful on 14 of 17 clear attempts.

Steven Laduzinsky made five saves and got the win in 38:30 with freshman
Benigno Houser making two saves in 19:59 and senior
Jordan Staley playing 1:31 in net.
