BEL AIR, Md. -- Thirteen different Titans found the back of the net on Sunday, March 12 as the Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team defeated St. Mary's College of Maryland by a final score of 26-18.
This win marks the Titans third consecutive victory and improves their overall record to 3-1. St. Mary's dropped their seventh straight contest to fall to 0-7 on the season.
Illinois Wesleyan, who outshot the Seahawks 66-49 with 46 shots on goal, held a 14-9 advantage at halftime. The Titans continued to extend their lead in the second half, outscoring St. Mary's 6-2 in the third quarter.
Led by 18 from sophomore
J.C. Grabarek, the Titans hauled in 69 ground balls to 40 for the Seahawks. IWU was successful on 34-47 face-off's with Grabarek leading the team having converted 24-of-32 chances.

Leading the team in assists with Maibuecher who assisted on five goals, a season-high. Senior goalkeeper
Steven Laduzinsky played all 60 minutes in goal recording eight saves.
Steve Jones notched a game-high eight goals for the Seahawks.

The Titans continue their trip out east with a match against Connecticut College on Tuesday, March 14 at 7:30 ET. The Camels currently hold an overall record of 2-1 having won two straight.
