Will Rossi in a 26-11 handling of Hendrix College (Ark.) at IWU's Tucci Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 26.
The win evens the Titans' record at 1-1 and drops Hendrix to 3-3. The Warriors were winners over Elmhurst in overtime on Friday.
Illinois Wesleyan, who outshot Hendrix 60-46 with 39 shots on goal, jumped out to a 6-1 lead after the first quarter and led by a comfortable 13-3 advantage at halftime.
Led by 18 from
J.C. Grabarek, IWU collected 52 ground balls to 30 for the Warriors and Illinois Wesleyan won 29 of 41 faceoffs and Hendrix had 12 of 41.
Seniors
Evan Mok-Lamme and
Tim Smith also contributed three goals each in the win and Maibuecher provided four assists with Julius and Rossi each getting two assists.
Senior
Steven Laduzinsky played 53:13 in goal for the Titans and made 11 saves while senior
Jordan Staley finished the final 6:47 and made two saves.
Hendrix got a game-high five goals from Drew Scanlan.
