Sophomore Jordan Ellerbrock scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 59th minute off of a deflection by the Pioneer goalkeeper.

Freshman Cameron Hindel finally broke through the scoring barrier in the 52nd minute to give IWU a 1-0 lead early-on in the second half. Hindel settled the ball at the top of the box and fired on target after a corner kick from sophomore Shannon Gatehouse.

Ellerbrock's goal shortly after in the 59th minute provided the Titans with a comfortable 2-0 lead. Sophomore Flower Edington had the initial shot on goal that was saved prior to Ellerbrock taking advantage of the loose ball.

Carroll brought things closer in the 87th minute via a goal from Sabrina Georgeff, but were unable to send the match into overtime.

Freshman Kelli McCarthy allowed one goal and made just two saves for IWU while Carroll's Christina O'Block allowed two goals and made four saves.
