BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- For the second time this season the Illinois Wesleyan Men's soccer team was victorious in double-overtime, defeating Millikin University by a final tally of 2-1. Senior
Collen Frost netted the game-winning goal in the 110th minute, his second goal of the season.
With a victory the men's soccer team improved to 8-4-1 on the season with a 3-1 record in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). The Titans are now 6-1 from Neis Field this season. Millikin fell to 4-9-1 with a 1-4 mark in the CCIW.
After a scoreless first half of action, Millikin struck first scoring in the 50th minute. Ivan Lopez poked the ball into the back of the net after a cross from Gabriel Gil.
Illinois Wesleyan finally hit paydirt in the 73rd minute when senior
Isaac Albracht scored from 25 yards out on an assist to senior
Ryan Kaplan. Albracht's goal was the fourth of his career.
The Titans provided all of the overtime offense, recording a 6-0 shot advantage. Frost provided the game-winner after a Millikin penalty forced an IWU free kick. The Big Blue failed to clear a free kick allowing for Frost to find the back of the net with assists from Kaplan and sophomore
Orion Marty.
Freshman Joey Johnson won his contest of the season, moving to 6-2-0 in goal for Illinois Wesleyan. Johnson made three saves on 12 shots faced on Tuesday. Millikin's Trevor Creek made two saves and allowed two goals.

Patrick Hickey also recorded shots on goal for the Titans.
Illinois Wesleyan out-shot Millikin 20-12 overall, but each team recorded just four shots on goal. IWU held a 10-5 advantage on corner kicks.

Illinois Wesleyan continues their homestand with a match against Carthage College on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. The men's soccer team kick's off following the conclusion of the women's soccer match against Carthage.
